Nature Proclaims a Creator
Romans 1:19–20 (ESV)
19 For what can be known about God is plain to them, because God has shown it to them. 20 For his invisible attributes, namely, his eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly perceived, ever since the creation of the world, in the things that have been made. So they are without excuse.
In our day God reveals Himself in 2 different ways. 1.) He reveals Himself through the Bible, and 2.) He reveals Himself through His creation. Most evangelicals will agree that God reveals Himself through scripture, but I fear we forget about how creation proclaims His glory.
The evangelist and author Ray Comfort teaches how to prove God exists. Point to a building and ask do you believe someone built that building? The answer to any rational person is yes, the building is proof of the builder. We don’t need to know him, see him, see him build, or have any experience with him because the building itself is proof of his existence. We then make the connection. Building = Builder ; Creation = Creator. You don’t need to know God, see God, or have any experience at all with Him to know He exists, creation is proof of a creator.
The scripture tells us specifically, His creation proclaims His eternal power and divine nature. Have you been in awe of God’s amazing creation? Have you taken the time lately to watch a sunset? To immerse yourself in nature, to be surrounded by His creation? To go to a dark spot in the middle of nowhere in the middle of the night, so dark that you can seemingly see stars everywhere?
My objective for this blog is two-fold. To encourage husbands and fathers to be the true spiritual leader in their home, and then to equip them to confidently take their family into God’s creation and experience His eternal power and divine nature together.
Soli Deo Gloria
